About
Materials Scientist | Academic Researcher | Industrial R&D.
I investigate how composition, crystal chemistry and defects determine the structural and functional behaviour of inorganic materials, with an emphasis on oxide systems for energy conversion and electrochemical technologies.

Materials researcher
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Kyushu University, Japan, working within the I²CNER / MCI-CNRC research environment. My research focuses on functional inorganic materials for energy-related applications, particularly oxide ceramics, thermoelectric materials, hydrogen-related materials and photocatalysis.
I combine solid-state synthesis and powder processing with structural, microstructural and optical characterization, followed by electrical, thermal and electrochemical measurements. A central theme of my work is understanding how composition, defect chemistry and phase evolution influence material properties and functional performance.
I received my PhD in Science and Engineering of Materials and Devices from Kyushu University. My broader research interests connect fundamental materials chemistry with practical energy technologies, including thermoelectric conversion, hydrogen-related ceramics and electrochemical systems.

My work is organised around the relationship between what a material is, how it is processed, and how it performs under operating conditions.
